Course Description
- 10 week modules
- 25 hours per week
- Average class size of 16 students
BROWNS Active8 coursebook-based core lessons followed by academic skill-focused afternoon lessons will help you to:
- Analyse academic materials critically and express yourself fluently, accurately and logically, both orally and in writing
- Collect and synthesize information from a variety of academic sources
- Analyse and critique materials; and present your ideas in a variety of media, in accordance with higher education standards
- Write longer research essay based on your own individual study interests
- Learn how to use reference material in academic writing
- Learn how to write bibliographies required by Australian universities
- Give presentations based on your own research
- Participate in mock university seminars and tutorials
- Listen to guest lecturers
- Visit Australian universities libraries and learn how to use them
