Business English Teacher

Hello - I'm Sue Bremner.

I'm a New Zealander. My father was an immigrant from Peru, and my mother Irish. I lived a lot of my New Zealand life in Maori communities, and 2 of my children are half Sicilian - so I qualify as a real example of multi-culturalism!

Like most Kiwis I am a travel addict, and have been in many parts of the world - Pacific Islands, Asia, South America, North America, the Middle East, Europe - and now Australia.

After a 1 year scholarship in USA, I completed a double B.A. in Philosophy and Spanish in N.Z. I went on to study Social Anthropology at a Masters level - and then spent some years traveling, writing and working around the world.

On returning to N.Z., I completed a Graduate Diploma in Teaching with honours - and while raising my children and traveling - taught at all levels, from Pre-school to Tertiary, and eventually teaching teachers how to be better teachers!

I then began to follow other dreams and put my energy into building successful businesses, modeling myself on my entrepreneurial father. Now, for over 20 years I have been happily self-employed, and having a very interesting life!

Keenly academic, I also kept adding qualifications to my name, gaining top qualifications in diverse fields, including Homoeopathy, Naturopathy, Financial Planning, and Travel and Tourism - enabling me to set up some exciting and successful enterprises.

I have been fortunate to be the owner and Managing Director of companies in a wide range of industries: - a large International Travel and Tour Company; a Natural Health Clinic; two clothing companies; a Financial Planning and Property Investment Sales company ; an Educational Training Consultancy; a Sales and Management Consultancy; and in the music industry I managed South American bands.

I feel that my background as a teacher, an ESL specialist, and an active business person enable me to provide exciting and relevant courses for students wishing to develop their English for use in the international business world. I bring experience and knowledge, enthusiasm, cultural understanding, caring and fun to my teaching.

I'm passionate about life, and all its possibilities... (I especially love travel, writing, music, dance, languages, literature, nature and cultures). I'm passionate about supporting people who want to reach their true potential. I love my work, and look forward very much to helping YOU reach your goals.
