Hello my name is Niesha Brown and I am the principal and co-founder of BROWNS English Language School !

Below is a story about my life to date. Life is an adventure in learning and the journey has just begun!

After graduating from school I did a Commerce degree, majoring in Accounting and Finance, at Bond University on the Gold Coast. Bond University is one of Australia ’s most prestigious universities, with its small class groups and individualized instruction from highly qualified staff. While studying at Bond , I met some wonderful friends who came from many different countries.

When I finished my degree at Bond University , I experienced a winter ski season in Aspen , USA . I then travelled to San Francisco , New York and finally London . I was successful in gaining a job in investment banking at Morgan Stanley , working on their London Trading Floor. Morgan Stanley sponsored me to undertake my Chartered Institute of Management Accounting Course, to become qualified as an accountant.

While in London I shared an apartment with a Japanese girl (Naoko) and an Italian girl (Kitty) who were both trying to improve their English Language skills. I would help them to practice their English and they taught me about their language, culture and food. I loved to travel and so I would often fly to Sweden , France , Germany , Italy , Spain and Switzerland for the weekend.

After three years in London I decided that I missed the sunshine and the great Australian lifestyle, so I returned home to the Gold Coast! It was then that I had the vision to start an English Language School with my brother, Richard . I completed my Cambridge English Language Teaching Qualification and then worked as a teacher at the University of Queensland English Language Institute.

Richard and I worked hard to open our school doors in February 2003. Since then we have taken care of international students, like they are part of our family. Our highly-qualified, experienced and caring teachers have helped many students to achieve their English Language goals. At BROWNS we are committed to providing each student with a truly rewarding and enjoyable English study experience!
